Some more warm up sketches.  This time working on expressions.  What are these a warm up to, you might ask?  I'm wondering the same thing myself.

Cap

Saw Captain America over the weekend.  Great stuff.  Definitely one of the best Marvel Studio films (if not the best one).  Felt like an old-fashioned adventure movie.  Which is refreshing, actually.  Not an ounce of cynicism to be found.  Glad to see it's doing well, too.  Here's hoping we get more WWII-era Cap adventures in the future.

Highlights:

• Hugo Weaving's accent
• "Why, fondue is nothing but hot cheese and bread!"
• Cap destroys a GIGANTIC tank.
• "I had a date."

Anyway, here's the ole' standby warm-up sketch.  Or at least some version of it.

That top one is brush pen over pencils, and the bottom one is just doodling around with the brush pen without any pencils.

No clue what that top one is supposed to be.  A cat?  A squirrel?  I think mostly a squirrel.  Second pic is an old one that I recently found and still like.
